Canon DSLR Quick Start Class

Do you own a Canon DSLR and struggle to understand what all of the the buttons, dials, and menus mean and how you're supposed to use them?

If you just had somebody explain to you in plain English what all those buttons are for, you could start taking betting pictures with your camera in no time at all. The goal of this class is to get you comfortable using your DSLR so you can get out of "Auto" mode. In this two hour Quick Start class we will teach you the most important features that you need to know to take better pictures. This class is completely hands on and we will show you what each button, dial, and most menu items are used for and how to control them.

Here is brief list of the topics we'll cover in the class: Mode Dial (Auto, P,Tv,Av,M) ISO button (very important) Auto Focusing (AF) buttons and modes Flash button Speed Dial(s) Exposure Compensation button Live View button Playback buttons Menu items (Resolution, Date & Time, Format, etc...) This class is limited to 7 students so we can make sure each student understands the concepts being presented. You may ask questions during the class if a topic is not making sense or you need further explanation.

Make sure to bring your camera with the battery fully charged (having a backup battery is a good idea) and bring along your camera manual if you have it. Feel free to bring along any additional questions you have about your camera. The instructor is always glad to help if he can. Our instructor, Dave "D3" Neff, is a passionate nature and landscape photographer that has been teaching photography for over 13 years. His fun and practical approach to teaching will help you learn how to use your Canon DSLR in no time at all.
